Our approach to privacy

AME Computers respects the privacy of customers and website visitors. We collect only the information reasonably needed to answer inquiries, provide requested service, operate customer tools, protect the website, and run the business.

We do not sell personal information for advertising purposes. This website is not designed to require a public customer account just to read service information or contact the shop.

Information you may provide to us

When you use the contact form, call, text, email, schedule an appointment, or bring a computer in for service, information may include your name, email address, phone number, device or service details, appointment information, repair-ticket information, and the message or instructions you choose to provide.

Please do not send passwords, financial account credentials, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information through the general website contact form. If login information is needed for repair testing, ask AME Computers about the appropriate way to provide it.

Website contact form

Information submitted through the AME Computers contact form is used to respond to the service request and communicate about the inquiry. The form includes anti-spam and rate-limiting controls. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing messages.

Contact-form messages may be delivered through the website hosting and email systems used by AME Computers and retained as reasonably necessary for customer service, business records, security, or legal obligations.

RepairDesk ticket status

The Check Repair Status page uses a customer-status tool supplied by RepairDesk. When you enter ticket information into that embedded tool, the information is handled through RepairDesk's system rather than being published as ordinary AME website content.

RepairDesk is a separate service provider and its own privacy terms may apply to information handled through its platform.

Square appointment booking

AME Computers links to Square Appointments for live appointment availability and scheduling. If you choose to book through Square, the information you enter on Square is processed through Square's systems and is also subject to Square's privacy practices and terms.

The calendar shown on the AME website is a visual booking prompt; live dates, times, confirmations, and appointment information are handled by Square.

Technical information, cookies, and logs

Like most websites, the hosting platform, WordPress, security systems, and other necessary website services may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, error information, and security events. This information may be used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and protect the website.

The AME Computers theme itself does not add advertising trackers or a third-party analytics package. If site tools or plugins are changed later, this policy should be reviewed so it continues to describe the actual website.

External links and services

This website links to services such as Google Maps, Google reviews, Square, and RepairDesk. When you leave the AME website or interact with an embedded third-party service, that provider may process information under its own privacy policy. AME Computers does not control the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

Information may be used to answer questions, schedule or perform service, communicate repair status, provide customer support, maintain business records, prevent fraud or abuse, protect systems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Information may be shared with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the website or provide the service you requested, such as hosting, email, scheduling, repair-management, payment, or security providers. We do not publish repair-ticket details as public website content.

You may contact AME Computers to ask about personal information you previously provided directly to us or to request a correction when appropriate. Information controlled by Square, RepairDesk, Google, or another provider may need to be handled directly with that provider.

This website is intended for general business and computer-repair customers and is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal information online.
